Plant-Lore and Garden-Craft of Shakespeare
Author(s): Henry N. Ellacombe
Two ever-popular topics, Shakespeare and gardening, intersect in this unique volume. An alphabetical glossary cites every plant mentioned by the playwright, places the quote in context, and discusses the plant's symbolism. The charmingly illustrated text also offers a synopsis of each plant's history and practical advice for cultivation. "As accurate as it is delightful." - Gardner's Chronicle.
